About This Service

Coats & Outerwear

Heavy outerwear accumulates grime, body oils, and environmental pollutants over the winter months — but most coats are too bulky or fabric-sensitive for a home wash. Our professional dry cleaning service handles all coat types safely, restoring the fabric's appearance and extending its lifespan significantly.

From a classic wool overcoat to a wax Barbour jacket, a quilted down puffer, or a full-length leather coat — we assess each garment individually and apply the correct cleaning method. Coats are returned on hangers in full-length breathable covers.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Down-filled coats require a specialist wet-clean process rather than traditional dry cleaning to avoid clumping. We re-distribute and fluff the filling during the drying process so it comes back as good as new.

Yes — we clean leather and suede using specialist leather-safe solvents and conditioning agents. This removes surface grime while keeping the leather supple and the finish intact.

We can clean wax jackets using the appropriate solvent method. Re-waxing is a separate process — we recommend using a Barbour re-waxing kit at home after cleaning, or sending it back to Barbour for their reproofing service.

Most coats are ready within 3–4 working days. Leather, suede, and fur items may take a little longer due to the conditioning and drying process.

Yes, minor repairs like re-stitching a lining, replacing buttons, or repairing a zip can usually be done at the same time as cleaning. Let us know when booking.
